Holy Smokes! Slashdot Gets CSSed

September 6, 2005 at 11:47 am

Yes, folks. The world will be ending any second now. I can’t see how it can’t. Slashdot.org (also known as /.) is converting to CSS!. Slashdot has been one of the single largest bastion of W3C violations on the web; this is certainly a victory for CSS and CSS fans everywhere! Rejoice!

SQL Problems and Images Fixed

March 28, 2005 at 1:14 pm

After about a 10 hour problem with the SQL server, Cirtex fixed the problem and now everything is running smoothly. Let’s hope everything stays like that. Also (for you, Gach!), all of the images are fixed. I knew I had a backup of them around here somewhere. Download away.

Yep, another design!

Welcome back. It’s been over a month since my last update, I know, but I’ve been really busy with classes this semester. I’m already way behind on my reading… Anyways, I’ve switched over the site to WordPress and made a nice new design that I think I can be happy with for a while.

The Creative Writer

thumbnailIt’s been a while since I actually did this blog template, but I’ll add it (just in case I ever need a portfolio). I was reading Sami’s website one day back when it had a kind of blah design. It was incompatible with Opera and Firefox, so I asked him if he’d like me to create one for him. To my suprise he accepted! So after about a week of contemplating and photoshopping, I created this personalized template. Sami has since editted it a bit, but it’s still got the classical look I gave it. I did this free of charge, so it gives me a fuzzy feeling whenever I visit his site.

A New Year, a New Design

January 31, 2005 at 10:04 am

Happy (late) 2005. Thankfully, I’ve re-enrolled in school and now have a place to write songs. I’ve already pumped out a few here and there, but am having a hard time writing music to go along with the lyrics. It’s not the music or the lyrics that get me, but tying them together. Oh well.

AbsolutionClan.com

thumbnailWhile hanging out on IRC (Stratics - #darkfall) a clan asked me to join them. When I started, I was just humoring them. Over time, though, I got tired of ‘watching what I said’ as to not get muted for the 50th time so I started chatting in there. Soon enough, they needed a new website, so I wasn’t just going to leave them hanging! Check it out at AbsolutionClan.com.

TeamSuper

September 16, 2004 at 8:46 pm

I’ve been busy working on the Team Super website. My brother, working as a middle man for them, gave me some cash to do their website. Considering the amount (very little), I am taking my time and learning about other Content Management Systems (CMSs).

Redesign #3

Ahh. Time to waste and in comes a new design. This one is slightly influenced by YellowLane.com, but is much less graphic intensive and slightly easier on the eyes. The color scheme and the new guy is very nice. The stock photo is courtesy of stock.xchng, a very good site for stock photos.

Redesign #1

June 9, 2004 at 3:51 am

Only took me a few hours, but I finished. Not too bad for being a little rusty in the way of web design… Also, I know the top logo is pretty weak, so I will be changing it sometime when I get an idea. It’s the solid colors…gonna have to do something about that. I could possible add black lines that fade in thickness to add some definition. We’ll see!
