Child Porn

Imaginary monkeys on imaginary backs
We allowed their arms to hold impossibly tightly
Pictures of bloody bodies around money stacks
Politicians take the bills and bleach the blood unsightly
Mouths taped shut that dare launch attacks
And they continue their freedom raids nightly
Turned the corner all those years past
Drank the flavor aid sweetened with child protection
Categorized harmless perverts into contrast
The first of many steps toward full thought perfection
A society based on an ocean of fears deep and vast

The Sad Fact

December 24, 2008 at 3:05 am

Even the slightest whispers are carried farther than before
Touch even the laziest trees and quietest shores
Smash through mountains and break down old monoliths
Fingertips for tanks and filters for fire hoses
In an upside down world shit rolls uphill
Through his white-hooded suit the man in black gets a chill
Warmed only by the crosses he burned
The delights of his regime fade into the colors he hates
At the bottom of the bucket the true colors come to light
A world built on red, brown, yellow, black, and white
Now they open the door
A revolver stares back
One shot left
Barrel down the corridor
Leaping to attack
With movement deft
Begins the unending war
To be taken over by same old hack
Instilling again the bereft
And we take away what we put in
The sad fact that nothing changes

The Lie-Filled Grove

December 22, 2008 at 11:16 am

Scores of prayer
Real saviors ignored
One more layer
Upon imaginary core
Poor kids starve
Die by the drove
Layers sit uncarved
God’s lie-filled grove

Better Than Us?

Ballots cast for more of the same
Some hold out for fresher choices
New villains, enemies of “change”
Especially to those who lose

Cry From the Unchanging

December 20, 2008 at 12:53 pm

They march to the beat of a tired drum
Destroying their voices in the name of change
Down the bloody streets they roam
Gathering forces and rending apart dissenters
Too backward to continue breathing
Contaminating their precious air with bloody gasps
House to house they bring down the walls
Tearing down the old to build up the new
In the midst of destruction and change
The walls go back up and the streets are washed
Survivors unite against the good and bad
And while society is rebuilding the same houses
On the same plots on the same roads in the same towns
Difference is only what the Change Nazis allow
Fervor and reaction polarizes brother and sister
And we prepare ourselves for more “change”
Killing in the name of conservative collectivism
But at least we support change, right?
